Henry Zhang

Henry Zhang has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Henry recently worked at Gridwise as a Senior Data Engineer. Prior to this, they were a Staff Data Engineer at RECUR. Henry also held the position of Data Engineering Manager and Senior Data Engineer at Rhino, where they successfully built a performant and scalable data stack from scratch and migrated the data warehouse to BigQuery. Before Rhino, Henry worked as a Data Engineer at PulsePoint, where they developed a data aggregation framework and conducted data migration between different platforms. Henry also worked as a Data Engineer at Schireson Associates and held the role of Application Developer at JPMorgan Chase & Co. Henry started their career as an Algorithmic Trading Intern at AllianceBernstein, where they contributed to the development of new algorithms and processed large amounts of data. Henry Zhang obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Honors Applied Mathematics with a minor in Management from McGill University in the years 2005 to 2008. Following that, they pursued a Master of Engineering in Financial Engineering Concentration from Cornell University from 2008 to 2010. In terms of additional certifications, Henry obtained the Modernizing Data Lakes and Data Warehouses with GCP certification from Coursera in September 2020, the Functional Programming Principles in Scala certification from Coursera in October 2018, and the Google Cloud Platform Big Data and Machine Learning Fundamentals certification from Coursera in July 2017. Henry also holds the Algorithms: Design and Analysis, Part 1 certification from Coursera Course Certificates obtained in August 2016. Additionally, Henry has completed the Introduction to Apache Spark course from edX and received a verified certificate. Henry has also completed the Distributed Machine Learning with Apache Spark course from edX and received a verified certificate.
