Kedar Balasubramanian

Kedar Balasubramanian has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. In 2018, they worked as a Business Development Associate at BYJU'S, where they actively promoted and closed deals in the EdTech sector. Kedar then interned at Siemens Energy in 2020, gaining valuable experience in the industry. In 2021, Kedar held positions at Brandenburgische Technische Universität Cottbus-Senftenberg and OLI Systems GmbH as a Working Student and Master Thesis Student respectively. During these roles, they worked on projects related to SOLIDWORKS modeling, designing experimental test rig components, and PYTHON data analytics for renewable energy modeling. Kedar also served as a Project Associate at the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, where they gained proficiency in ANSYS Fluent, Transys, Autodesk REVIT, and Google SketchUp for modeling and simulation. Starting in 2021, Kedar took on a role as Partnerships Lead Germany at YES-Europe, acting as a liaison between various organizations in the energy and sustainability field. In 2022, they worked as a Product Owner at bloXmove, managing and developing blockchain-based mobility products. Kedar also worked as a Future Thought Leader at illuminem, where they contributed to discussions on energy transition and future energy and mobility trends. In 2023, Kedar joined Insider's Guide to Energy as a Podcast Producer. Currently, they are working as a Junior Product Owner at gridX, co-managing the integration of physical energy assets into the Xenon Digital Energy Platform.

Kedar Balasubramanian completed their Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree in Mechanical (Specialization in Renewable Energy) Engineering from Vellore Institute of Technology in the years 2013 to 2017. Their education continued with a Master of Science (MS) degree in Power Engineering from Brandenburgische Technische Universität Cottbus-Senftenberg, which they pursued from 2019 to 2022. In addition to their formal education, Kedar has obtained various certifications, including the Professional Scrum Product Owner certification from Scrum.org in May 2023 and First Aid certification from Deutsches Rotes Kreuz e.V. (German Red Cross) in April 2023. Kedar also holds multiple certifications in project management and data analysis from Google, LinkedIn, and Coursera, among others. Kedar is a student member of ASME (The American Society of Mechanical Engineers) since September 2021.
