Cherie Y. has over 13 years of professional work experience. Cherie began their career in 2006 as an Applications/Systems Testing Analyst at Pacific Gas and Electric Company. During their tenure there, they held various roles, including Applications/Systems Testing Analyst, Expert, Senior, and Applications/Systems Testing Analyst. In these roles, Cherie was responsible for testing major business and regulatory utility bill calculation projects, migrating 10 interfaces from Mercator to Java Spring Batch, and designing and building parallel calculations in Excel to enable rate structural change verification in the Oracle CC&B System. Cherie also automated the Electric Rate Value testing and the annual Time-Of-Use Map testing using SAS. In 2017, Cherie joined GridX, Inc. as a Product Owner, Manager of CCA Operations, and Senior Business Analyst.

Cherie Y. obtained a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with an emphasis in Computer Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles. In 2006, they also obtained a Certified Tester, Foundation Level (CTFL) certification from the American Software Testing Qualifications Board.
