Brian Abbe has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Brian is currently working as an Innovation and Partnerships SME at Griffiss Institute since February 2023. Previously, Brian was the CEO and Founder of Mentis Technologies, a Cyber Security company, from May 2017 onwards. Brian has also worked as a Program Management Manager at Lockheed Martin from June 2021 to February 2023.

Before that, Brian held multiple roles at Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) including Head of the Office for Research and Technology Applications (ORTA) where they managed the AFRL commercialization program and developed various agreements and programs. Brian also served as the Chief of Advanced Planning and Autonomous C2 Systems, leading the development of new Command and Control applications for Space C2 and researching machine learning algorithms for Air Force IT and UAV assets.

Prior to AFRL, Brian worked as a Program Manager at AFRL and as Vice President & GM at Ephesus Technologies, LLC. Brian began their career at Lockheed Martin as a Principle Project Engineer and held that position for several years.

Overall, Brian Abbe has amassed extensive experience in innovation, partnerships, cyber security, program management, and research and development in both government and private sectors.

Brian Abbe has a strong educational background in the field of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Brian obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (BSEE) from Western New England University, completing their studies from 1984 to 1986. Later, they pursued further education at Syracuse University, where they earned a Master of Science degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (MSEE) from 1995 to 1998. In addition to their degrees, Brian Abbe also holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, which they obtained from the Project Management Institute in May 2015.
