Alejandro Basso

Alejandro Basso is an experienced procurement professional with a substantial background in global and regional roles. Currently serving as the Head of Global Indirect Procurement at Grifols since January 2021, Alejandro manages a team of 45, overseeing a procurement volume of €1 billion. Prior to this role, Alejandro held several significant positions at AstraZeneca, including Head of Procurement EMEA and Head of Procurement Europe, managing teams and significant procurement volumes across various regions. Alejandro began their career at Almirall, where responsibilities spanned from Head of Procurement with global oversight to leading specific procurement functions for industrial and international operations. Alejandro also contributed to Inibsa Grupo as Head of Procurement and was a permanent member of the Management Board. Educational qualifications include a degree in Industrial Engineering from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya and advanced training in supply chain management from ICIL and executive education at IESE Business School.
