Vanessa Bres

Vanessa Bres, Ph.D., currently serves as Senior Manager of Clinical Affairs at Grifols since June 2023, bringing extensive experience in molecular assay development for blood banks. Prior to this role, Vanessa was the Director of Biochemistry in Research and Development at Thermo Fisher Scientific from August 2021 to April 2023, and held the position of Associate Director in Research and Development at Grifols from February 2017 to August 2021. Prior to that, significant contributions were made at Hologic, Roka Bioscience, and The Salk Institute, where Vanessa focused on the development of molecular assays and conducted research on HIV-1 transcription and related areas. Vanessa started their academic journey with a Ph.D. in HIV-1 transcription from the University of Montpellier, where research included the functional analysis of the HIV-1 Tat protein.
