Paul Laiming

Paul Laiming has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Paul currently holds the position of Director of Hardware Engineering at GRIID, starting in October 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Dover Fueling Solutions as a Senior Manager, Electronics Engineering from February 2018 to October 2021, where they led the electronics design team in Austin, Texas, focusing on the DFS Anthem dispenser platform.

Before joining Dover Fueling Solutions, Laiming worked at Silicon Labs as an MCU Validation Engineer from September 2015 to February 2018. In this role, they were responsible for the validation and characterization of analog peripheral modules for wireless 32-bit ARM Cortex MCUs.

Laiming also held the position of Electrical Engineering Manager at Zodiac Aerospace from November 2007 to September 2015. Paul was instrumental in establishing the electrical engineering team and leading product development and certification of electronic control and axial fans. Paul was involved in software development and testing for aircraft programs such as Embraer Phenom’s, Honda Jet, and AgustaWestland 139 Helicopter.

Prior to Zodiac Aerospace, Laiming worked at LSI, an Avago Technologies Company, as a Senior Verification Engineer from September 1999 to December 2007. Paul joined a small team of engineers at a network processor start-up, which was later acquired by Lucent Technologies, then spun off as Agere Systems, and eventually acquired by LSI Technologies.

Laiming began their career at Jato Technologies as a Verification Engineer from May 1998 to September 1999. Paul joined a small team of engineers in a network controller start-up and played a role in developing and revising verification plans and methodologies.

Furthermore, Laiming has experience working at AMD as a Verification Engineer - Coop from May 1997 to December 1997.

Throughout their career, Laiming has gained expertise in hardware engineering, electronics design, validation, and certification, as well as software development and testing for various industries, including aerospace and semiconductor.

Paul Laiming attended Northwestern University from 1993 to 1998, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering.
