Alan Stevenson

Alan Stevenson is an experienced educator with a strong background in teaching History and Humanities. Currently, Alan serves as a Teacher at the Grimsby Institute of Further and Higher Education since September 2018. Prior to this, Alan provided History-specific and general cover through Tradewind Recruitment from May 2017 to May 2024 and was a History Teacher at Caistor Yarborough Academy from September 2014 to April 2017, focusing on Key Stage 3 and 4 and teaching various exam specifications. Earlier career experiences include teaching History, Geography, Citizenship, and PSHEE at Winstanley Community College from January 2009 to August 2014 and a range of subjects, including History and Classical Civilisation, at Saint James School from September 2003 to August 2008. Alan holds a PGCE in Education from Leeds Trinity University and two Bachelor of Arts degrees in American Studies and American/United States Studies/Civilization from York St. John University.
