Dheeraj Varma Uppalapati has worked for various companies in the engineering field since 2003. Dheeraj Varma began their career at United Online as a Senior Systems Engineer. In 2006, they moved to Yahoo as a Senior Systems Engineer. From 2008 to 2013, they worked as a Senior Service Engineer and Mobile Service Engineer at Yahoo. In 2012, they became a Deployment Manager at Telefónica Digital. From 2015 to 2019, they were a Data Infrastructure Engineer at DueDil. Most recently, they began working as the Head of Engineering Operations at Grip in 2021.

Dheeraj Varma Uppalapati completed their B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University between 1999 and 2003.
