Brian Hua

Brian Hua is a Senior Scientist II at Gritstone bio since June 2021, where responsibilities include leading pre-IND work for an infectious disease vaccine project and developing computational tools for vaccine design. Previously at Zymergen, from October 2018 to May 2021, Brian led identification and characterization of natural products and managed a team of research associates. Experience also includes a postdoctoral fellowship at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, where Brian designed viral peptide libraries and published significant research, as well as extensive research roles at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and UC Davis. Brian holds a PhD in Biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a B.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of California, Davis.
