Kevin Ha, Ph.D. has extensive work experience in the field of biomedical research and development. Kevin is currently working at Gritstone bio as a Principal Scientist. Prior to this, they worked at Inscripta, Inc. as a Staff Scientist. Between 2017 and 2021, Kevin worked at Bio-Rad Laboratories as a Staff Scientist, where they played a key role in new product development and led projects related to cell-based platforms, next-generation sequencing, and software/hardware upgrades for cell analyzers. Before joining Bio-Rad, they worked at a private biotech startup as a Senior Scientist, where they collaborated with multidisciplinary teams to advance diagnostic technologies and conducted antibody engineering and protein purification. Kevin also worked as a Postdoctoral Scholar at the University of California, San Francisco, where they utilized antibody display libraries to discover therapeutic antibodies against cancer. Kevin completed their Ph.D. at Cornell University, where they investigated mechanisms of Golgi membrane tubulation and membrane trafficking in mammalian cells. Kevin's early career includes working at Pfizer as a Senior Associate Scientist in the Oncology Department, analyzing the efficacy of therapeutic antibodies on cancer cells, and at UC San Diego as a Laboratory Assistant, studying the biochemical mechanisms of Alzheimer's disease.

Kevin Ha, Ph.D. holds a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology from UC San Diego, which they completed from 2000 to 2004. Kevin later pursued a Doctor of Philosophy in Molecular Biology & Genetics, with a field of Biochemistry, Molecular & Cellular Biology, at Cornell University from 2006 to 2012.
