Yi Zhao

Lead Rapid Response Data Scientist at Gro Intelligence

Yi Zhao has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. They began their career as a Six Sigma Intern at NCR Corporation in 2010. They then pursued higher education and obtained a PhD from Stanford University, where they served as a PhD Student from 2011 to 2016. Following this, Yi worked as a Postdoc at Princeton University from 2016 to 2017. In 2018, they joined Gro Intelligence and held multiple positions, including Data Scientist, Rapid Response Data Scientist, and Lead Rapid Response Data Scientist until present. Lastly, in 2022, Yi became a Fellow at Coho, a data science career fellowship program. Throughout their career, Yi has showcased expertise in data science and has continuously sought professional growth and learning opportunities.

Yi Zhao obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Food Security and Remote Sensing from Stanford University, attending from 2011 to 2016. Before that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mathematics, with a minor in Economics, from the University of Dayton, attending from 2008 to 2011. In 2007 to 2008, prior to attending the University of Dayton, Yi Zhao received a Bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, majoring in an undecided field of study. In addition to their formal education, Yi Zhao obtained a certification in the Product Manager Nanodegree Program from Udacity in January 2022.
