Geoff Ford

Geoff Ford has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Geoff is currently the Head of Engineering and Infrastructure at Grok Academy since January 2022. Before that, they worked as a Senior DevOps Engineer at Terem Technologies from May 2021 to January 2022.

Prior to their role at Terem Technologies, Geoff was associated with Tabcorp from 2018 to 2021. Geoff served as the Lotteries Web Team Leader from April 2020 to May 2021 and as the Software Engineering Practice Lead from December 2018 to April 2020.

Geoff also worked at Suncorp Group, where they held multiple positions. Geoff was a Principal Systems Engineer from July 2018 to December 2018, a DevOps Engineer from July 2017 to July 2018, a Delivery Manager from February 2016 to June 2017, a Lead Software Engineer from April 2012 to January 2016, an Information Security Analyst from September 2011 to April 2012, and a Software Engineer from May 2009 to September 2011.

Before joining Suncorp Group, Geoff worked at Intabill as a Systems Analyst from September 2008 to April 2009.

Geoff also gained experience at Suncorp as a Developer from February 2008 to September 2008 as part of a rotational graduate program.

Geoff's early career involved working at Indigo Interactive as a Web Developer from February 2006 to December 2007. Geoff managed a small team of developers, worked on various customer websites, and developed and maintained company CMS and eCommerce sites.

Geoff began their career at SAID.NET as a Web Developer from April 2005 to August 2005, working on projects ranging from local online newspaper websites to global logistics systems.

Geoff Ford attended Dakabin State High School from 1995 to 1999, but did not obtain a degree or specialize in any field of study during that time. Geoff then pursued a degree in IT, focused on Security, at QUT (Queensland University of Technology) from 2000 to 2008.
