Austin Ottinger

Austin Ottinger has a diverse work experience in software engineering. Austin is currently working as the Director of Software Engineering at anu™ (previously gropod), starting in September 2021. Prior to this role, they worked at GEICO as a Senior Software Engineer from November 2020 to September 2021 and as a Lead Software Engineer from August 2019 to November 2020. Austin also had a previous stint as a Senior Software Engineer at GEICO from June 2018 to August 2019.

Before joining GEICO, Austin worked at Clarity Partners, LLC as a Software Engineer from May 2016 to May 2018. Prior to this, they were an Associate Software Engineer at the same company from May 2015 to August 2015. Austin gained experience as a Software Engineering Intern through Purdue's Interns for Indiana Program at Arxan Technologies from May 2014 to August 2014.

Additionally, Austin has experience outside the software engineering field as they previously worked as a Service Technician at Discount Tire Company from May 2011 to August 2013.

Austin Ottinger's education history begins with their attendance at Guerin Catholic High School from 2008 to 2012, where they obtained an International Baccalaureate Diploma. Following this, they enrolled in Purdue University from 2012 to 2016, majoring in Computer Science and earning a Certificate of Entrepreneurship in Innovation as well as a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree. During their time at Purdue University, they participated in an exchange program at Uppsala University from 2014 to 2015, focusing on Computer Science.

In terms of additional certifications, Austin Ottinger obtained the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate from Amazon Web Services in April 2017. Austin also acquired the AWS Certified Developer - Associate certification from Amazon Web Services in February 2017.
