Andrea Ward, PhD, is an experienced educator with a focus on special education and educational leadership. Currently serving as a Resource Room Teacher at Grosse Pointe Public School System since September 2005, Andrea has also held the position of Elementary Summer School Director at Grosse Pointe Public School from January 2012 to August 2020. Prior experience includes teaching at Lincoln Middle School within Van Dyke Public Schools from August 2001 to June 2005. Andrea's academic credentials include a Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Leadership and Policy Study from Wayne State University, earned between 2012 and 2016, a Master of Education in Teaching Individuals with Specific Learning Disabilities from the University of Michigan-Dearborn, obtained from 2001 to 2003, and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Secondary Education from the University of Michigan-Dearborn, completed in 2000.
