Matthew O'Deane

Matthew O'Deane, Ph.D., serves as a Senior Law Enforcement Consultant at California POST since July 2019, collaborating with training presenters and police agencies on course certification and compliance. O'Deane is an adjunct professor at multiple institutions, including the University of San Diego, Southwestern Community College District, and National University, teaching various courses related to law enforcement and public safety. O'Deane co-founded the San Diego County Regional Leadership Institute to enhance law enforcement leadership training. Prior roles include Commander at the San Diego County District Attorney's Office, where oversight included specialized investigative units, and various ranks at the National City Police Department, where responsibilities encompassed patrol supervision and incident management. O'Deane holds a Ph.D. in Public Policy from Walden University and multiple degrees in Public Administration and Criminal Justice.
