Emma Rotner serves as the Magnet School Coordinator and District Farm to School Coordinator at Groton Public Schools since July 2019, where responsibilities include developing a district-wide Farm to School program focused on garden and food education for K-12 students. Previously, Emma worked with FoodCorps as a Service Member from August 2017 to July 2019, facilitating hands-on lessons about food and nutrition in various educational settings. Emma also gained experience as a Campaign Organizer for Environment America, advocating for environmental issues, and as a fellow at the University of New Hampshire Sustainability Institute, researching food justice and equity. Additionally, Emma held positions as a Tutor in Environmental Studies at Connecticut College and as a Sustainable Development Intern at Backus, conducting research on reforestation projects in Peru. Emma holds a Master's degree in Education from Sacred Heart University, a certification in Food Policy and Sustainability Leadership from Arizona State University, and a bachelor's degree from Connecticut College.
