D.A. Abrams, CAE has a diverse work experience spanning over several organizations. Starting in 1989, D.A. Abrams worked as the Director of Recruitment and Head Teaching Professional at Legacy Youth Tennis and Education until 1993. From there, D.A. Abrams founded and served as the CEO of Dave Abrams Tennis Services, Inc., where they led various initiatives such as sending a tennis team to Morocco and conducting tennis camps. In 1993, D.A. Abrams joined the United States Tennis Association (USTA) as the National Coordinator for USTA National Junior Tennis League & USTA Minority Participation, establishing grant programs and overseeing initiatives to promote minority participation in tennis. D.A. Abrams then served as the Executive Director of USTA Missouri Valley from 1997 to 2000, where they formed partnerships and sponsorships for USTA events. D.A. Abrams continued their career at the USTA and took on the role of Director of Outreach from 2000 to 2006, where they developed programs to introduce tennis to various communities. In 2006, D.A. Abrams became the Executive Director of USTA Eastern until 2012, during which they implemented the "Grow the Game" funding initiative. Transitioning to the USTA national level, D.A. Abrams held the position of Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer from 2012 to 2019, prioritizing diversity and inclusion within the organization. In 2019, D.A. Abrams founded the Diversity & Inclusion Advisory Group, serving as the Founder & Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer, and joined the CFP Board as the Managing Director. Currently, D.A. Abrams is the Chief Operating Officer at Groundswell, Inc., a nonprofit organization focused on community solar projects and reducing energy burdens.

D.A. Abrams, CAE holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from Millersville University of Pennsylvania. Furthermore, they have obtained a Master of Management Administration (MMA) degree in Management from Metro State University. Additionally, Abrams has achieved the certification of Certified Association Executive from ASAE: The Center for Association Leadership in January 2010. They also possess certifications as a Certified Teaching Professional - P1 from the United States Professional Tennis Association and as a Certified Teaching Professional - Professional from the Professional Tennis Registry - PTR.
