Umang Garg

Umang Garg currently serves as a Data Analyst at Group One Trading, LP, a position held since February 2022, and is also a member of The Phi Beta Kappa Society since May 2022. Prior experience includes a role as a Student Researcher at Beloit College from August 2019 to May 2022, focusing on immigration's impact on innovation, where complex dataset cleaning, econometric modeling, and data visualization using R were performed. Additional experience encompasses roles as a Resident Assistant, where contributions included conflict mediation and event programming, and as an Institutional Research Analyst, analyzing workshop attendance data for the Board of Trustees. Garg has also worked as a Teaching Assistant in economics courses, enhancing student learning through study sessions. A previous Trading Analyst Intern position at Group One Trading involved using Python for stock analysis, while a Market Research Analyst role at Belmark Associates included extensive community surveys and data analysis on crime perception and educational demand. Garg holds a Bachelor's degree in Quantitative Economics from Beloit College.
