Poonam Patel

Poonam Patel has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Their most recent position was as the Director of Compliance and Privacy at Groups Recover Together starting in 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Corporate Compliance Associate at Solaris HealthCare Properties from 2020 to 2022, where they managed compliance programs for multiple healthcare facilities. Before that, they were a Corporate Compliance Advisor at Integrity Health Care Systems from 2018 to 2020, overseeing compliance programs for skilled nursing and assisted living facilities. Patel also served as a Quality Assurance and Compliance Manager at Passageway Residence of Dade County from 2015 to 2019, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal laws. Additionally, they have legal experience, including roles as a Child's Best Interest Attorney at the Statewide Guardian Ad Litem Program, an Associate Attorney at Windsor Law, PC, and a Law Clerk at the Law Offices of Joseph J. Mancuso. Poonam Patel obtained their Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree in Law from the Florida State University College of Law, completing their studies from 2008 to 2011. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in History at the University of Florida from 2005 to 2008. In 2004 and 2005, they also completed courses in Molecular Biology and Microbiology at the University of Central Florida. Additionally, Poonam Patel holds several certifications in healthcare compliance and privacy, including being Certified in Healthcare Privacy Compliance (CHPC) and Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) from the Compliance Certification Board (CCB) and other institutions.
