Scientist (geo-spatial Data) at Grow Indigo

Amit Verma is a highly skilled scientist specializing in geo-spatial data, currently contributing to the carbon credit program in India at Grow Indigo since October 2022. Prior to this, Amit served as a Remote Sensing and GIS Expert with MNCFC under the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare and the Indian Space Research Organisation from November 2017 to October 2022, focusing on agricultural applications such as crop acreage estimation and drought assessment using various satellite data. Amit also held the position of Assistant Professor in the Computer Science Engineering Department at the College of Engineering Roorkee for a brief period in 2017. Academically, Amit earned a Doctorate in Satellite Image Processing from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee in 2017, a Master of Technology in Remote Sensing and GIS from Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology in 2011, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science Engineering from Govt. Engineering College Bikaner in 2008.
