Hazel Rivera

Hazel Rivera is currently serving as an Intake Coordinator at Grow Through Life Counseling since October 2022. Previously, Hazel held the position of Case Manager at San Diego Youth Services, where responsibilities included planning and leading programs for youth in juvenile hall, with a focus on CSEC youth and trauma-informed care. Experience also includes teaching workshops for young adults involved in child welfare and advocating for abused or neglected children as a volunteer with Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children. Earlier professional experience includes providing client service as a receptionist at Royal Prestige International. Hazel Rivera is pursuing a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology at Pepperdine University, following a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice and Corrections from California State University-Sacramento.
