Alison Grems, IOM

Alison Grems, IOM has a diverse work experience in the chamber of commerce industry. Alison started their career as the Executive Director at the Glencoe Area Chamber of Commerce Inc in 1999, where they advised and monitored various chamber committees and events. Alison also presented projects and issues to local, county, and state governments, and was responsible for producing and publishing the monthly newsletter. In 2005, Alison joined the Canandaigua Chamber of Commerce as the President/CEO. In this role, they managed the day-to-day operations of the Chamber office, staff, and volunteers, updated the Board of Directors on Chamber matters, and oversaw all financial aspects. Alison held this position until November 2016. Currently, Alison works at GrowthZone AMS, where they have held two positions. Alison started as an Account Executive in April 2017 and later transitioned to the role of an Engagement Specialist in January 2020.

Alison Grems, IOM has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from the University of Minnesota, which was obtained in 2010. In addition to their degree, they also hold certifications from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation's Institute for Organizational Management, which they obtained in July 2005. Alison also completed the Economic Development Institute program at the University of Oklahoma, although the specific month and year of completion are not provided.
