José Antonio Gómez López has a diverse work experience in the agricultural industry, primarily in the pig farming sector. José Antonio has held various management positions throughout their career.

Starting in 1990, José worked as a Production Technician at CARGILL ESPAÑA S.A for six months before joining Grupo Leche Pascual as a Nutrition Technician. In this role, they focused on feed formulation and conducting tests at an experimental farm.

In 1994, José joined PROINSERGA S.A. as a Feed Mill Manager, overseeing production, maintenance, quality control, and logistics. José Antonio later became the Production and Buying Manager, responsible for coordinating feed factories and developing the buying strategy.

In 2003, José took on the role of Operation Manager at Castileón 2000 S.A., which was part of PROINSERGA GROUP's feed division. José Antonio held this position for two years before becoming the Meat Plant Manager in the same group in 2005. As the Meat Plant Manager, they were in charge of annual operations and investments, quality control, HR, purchasing, logistics, administration, and maintenance.

In 2007, José returned to the Feed Area of PROINSERGA GROUP as an Operation Manager, overseeing technical, production, commercial, and logistics areas. José Antonio supported the Chief Executive Officer in external relations, finance, and human resources.

In 2008, José became the General Manager of PIGTURE IBERICA S.L., a Dutch multinational company specializing in pig genetics. José Antonio developed and implemented annual plans, conducted performance analysis, and managed general, personnel, and financial policies.

From 2010 to 2012, José served as the General Manager of PROINSERGA S.A., coordinating a budget of over 60 million euros and managing feed and semen sales. José Antonio guided the company through a bankruptcy process.

In 2012, José joined CUARTE S.L. as the General Manager. It was part of JORGE GROUP, a prominent player in the Spanish pork value chain. José Antonio oversaw a budget of over 100 million euros and managed the production of over 700,000 slaughter pigs.

Most recently, José has been the Farming Operation Manager at Grupo Alimentario Copese since May 2020. José Antonio is involved in maintaining and developing pig farming business opportunities in Castilla y Leon.

José Antonio Gómez López completed an MBA degree from IE Business School in the period of 2009-2010. Prior to that, they pursued an EXPERT IN MANAGEMENT OF PRODUCTION, TECHNOLOGY, AND OPERATIONS degree from Universidad Pontificia Comillas during 1993-1994. José Antonio also holds a degree in Animal/Livestock Husbandry and Production as an Agricultural Engineer from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, which was completed by 1990.
