Efrain Andres Guirola Diaz possesses extensive experience in healthcare and interpretation, having served in various roles since 2020, primarily with UPMC as a Patient Care Technician and Patient Care Assistant, where responsibilities included aiding physicians, taking medical histories, and educating patients on preventive health care. Currently engaged with Akorbi as a Spanish Finance & Healthcare Interpreter and with JFCS Pittsburgh as a Spanish Interpreter & English Tutor, Efrain provides vital language support for Limited English Proficiency patients and assists refugees in navigating employment and education. Additional roles have included Spanish healthcare interpretation for Catholic Charities and CyraCom Language Solutions, and a research assistantship at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, contributing to important studies in rehabilitation.
