Carolina Velez Patino

Carolina Velez Patino is a skilled data scientist with extensive experience in turning large datasets into actionable insights. Currently employed at Grupo TCC since September 2020, Carolina focuses on the parcel and courier business, utilizing expertise in Python, SQL, Azure Databricks, and Power BI to extract, clean, and analyze data, as well as build machine learning models and create reports. Prior to this role, Carolina was part of the team at Big Bang Data S.A.S. from May 2018 to September 2020, where responsibilities included computing monthly provisions for Bancolombia under IFRS9 accounting standards. Earlier experience includes a finance internship at Avon, where data extraction and financial report consolidation were key tasks. Carolina holds a Master of Science in Operations Research from the University of Southampton and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering/Industrial Management from Universidad Nacional de Colombia.
