Jo Whatley

Jo Whatley has extensive work experience in various leadership roles in the field of Human Resources and Industrial Relations. Starting in 2023, Jo will serve as the HR/IR Director for Inland Rail Gowrie to Kagaru PPP (G2K) at GS E&C, managing a large-scale infrastructure project. Prior to this, Jo held positions such as Head of Safety and Head of People & Culture at Boral, Director at Sangha People Solutions Pty Ltd, People & Performance Manager at Bouygues Construction, Senior Human Resources Specialist and Human Resources Director at Laing O'Rourke. Jo also gained valuable experience as a Senior HR Advisor at John Holland and as a Recruitment Advisor at Thiess Degremont - Victorian Desalination Project. Overall, Jo has a strong background in HR management and has contributed to the success of various major projects in the infrastructure industry.

Jo Whatley attended QUT (Queensland University of Technology) from 1999 to 2000, where they pursued a Bachelor of Business degree with a focus on Accountancy. Jo then proceeded to enroll at the University of the Sunshine Coast from 2000 to 2003, where they obtained a Bachelor of Social Sciences with a specialization in Community Work.
