Jan Merckx

Jan Merckx possesses extensive experience in sustainability and project management, currently serving as a Sustainability Specialist at GS1 Nederland since May 2020. In addition, Jan Merckx is a Project Lead at the Vlaams Instituut voor de Logistiek and a Co-Founder of CiLAB Collective, both roles held since 2014 and 2020, respectively. As the Founder of Time2Trace, Jan Merckx has focused on strategic consultancy and orchestrating projects for the Internet of Things. Previous positions include Industry Engagement & Innovation Manager at GS1 Belgium & Luxembourg, RFID Business Development at Aucxis, and co-Founder of Zampass. Jan Merckx's early career includes significant roles at IBM as an RFID Expert and as a Consultant at PWC, along with serving as a QA Manager at Becton Dickinson. Jan Merckx holds a degree from KU Leuven, obtained between 1980 and 1986.
