James Dinh has a diverse work experience in various industries. James currently works at Groundswell as a Senior Full Stack Engineer (Platform Team) & Team Lead. In this role, they lead the creation of a shared Storybook React component library for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services program, rebuilds legacy applications with decoupled serverless microservice architectures on AWS cloud, and utilizes AWS services to create scalable and cost-effective data solutions.

Prior to their current role, James worked as a Senior Full Stack Engineer at Groundswell, where they operated in a diverse microservice ecosystem and migrated legacy applications to a modern tech stack. James also ensured that the applications met 508 compliance and a11y accessibility standards.

Before joining Groundswell, James was a Full Stack Software Engineer at Jonel Engineering, where they worked with technologies such as Angular, TypeScript, C#, and .NET. James was responsible for creating a progressive web application to replace an old application written in Visual Basic.

James also has experience in education. James served as the Teacher Leadership Department Chair at Fitz Intermediate Computer Science Academy, where they facilitated the implementation of the computer science curriculum and incorporated technology in the history curriculum. James also worked as a teacher at Garden Grove Unified School District, where they cultivated relationships with students, staff, and parents, adjusted teaching practices to accommodate different learning styles, and gained experience as a substitute teacher.

Additionally, James worked as a JV Women's Basketball Coach at Santa Ana High School, where they demonstrated leadership, organized game strategies, and strengthened team comradery.

James Dinh completed their education at various institutions. James obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in American History (United States), World History, and Geography from California State University, Long Beach, from 2013 to 2017. James also earned a Single Subject Teaching Credential in Social Science Teacher Education from the same university from 2017 to 2018.

In 2019 to 2020, James attended LearningFuze, where they completed a Full-Immersion Bootcamp, focusing on HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, React.js, Bootstrap, Agile, postgreSQL, NodeJS, jQuery, and Github Workflow.

Before their university studies, James attended Westminster High School from 2009 to 2013.

James is an AWS Certified DevOps Professional, holds a CompTIA Security+ CE certification, and has certifications in various Amazon Web Services (AWS) specialties - AWS Security Specialty, AWS Solutions Architect - Professional, AWS Solutions Architect Associate, and AWS Cloud Practitioner. James also holds a Google Analytics Individual Qualification and a Teacher, Classroom certification from the Orange County Department of Education.
