Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field (required)
  • 10 years’ CPG experience in category management or insights-related field
  • 20-30% travel will be necessary for headquarter and retailer/company meetings
  • Experience in natural food and beverage industry (preferred)
  • Available to work flexible schedules, including holidays
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to drive a motor vehicle

Job Responsibilities:

The Sr. Director of Sales – Emerging Markets will be responsible for the Away from home, DSD & Retail businesses and will lead the planning and execution of successful sales strategies for accounts with significant annual sales revenues, strategically key customers or markets, broad or national geographic scope, etc. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Establish short- and long-term account or retail strategies
  • Lead selling efforts, margin management, and customer relationship management activities
  • Lead the cross-functional business processes, engaging cross-functional resources across multiple geographies to deliver against the annual volume and profit plan
  • Demonstrate complete understanding of the company's products, product lines, and/or services; existing customers and potential customer landscape; the sales cycle; and industry trends

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong presentation skills with ability to simplify large amounts of data into simple selling stories
  • Organization; ability to effectively prioritize
  • Effective team player with strong interpersonal skills
  • Critical thinking and analysis
  • Leadership; able to acquire, manage, lead and mentor a team
  • Knowledge of and experience with space planning programs – JDA Space Planning, Apollo
  • Experience working directly with retailers and syndicated data systems (Nielsen, IRI, SPINs)
  • Expert at Microsoft programs – PowerPoint, Excel, Word

Job Details:

  • Work Hours: Monday through Friday, business hours; REMOTE #LI-Remote
  • Work Attire: Use good judgment, keeping in mind the nature of their work, their safety and the safety of others, and their need to interact with the public
  • Pay Range: $160,000 - $180,000, bonus eligible
