Misty Downing

Misty Downing, GISP, CFM, serves as the GIS Administrator at the Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority since January 2019, overseeing all aspects of GIS operations, including strategic planning, budget management, and the implementation of technologies such as Esri ArcGIS Server. Prior experience includes a similar role at the San Antonio River Authority from February 2014 to January 2019, where Misty managed a team of GIS Analysts and served as project manager for significant initiatives. Earlier positions include roles as a GIS Analyst II at The Nature Conservancy and as Conservation Information Manager II/IV at Hill Country Environmental, Inc. Education includes a Master of Applied Geography with a focus on GIS and Water Resources from Texas State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Geography with a concentration in Natural Resource Management from The University of Texas at Austin.
