Robert Russell

Robert Russell is an experienced telecommunications professional with a strong background in engineering, product management, and business strategy. Currently serving as the Executive Engineer of Communications Technology at Guadalupe Valley Electric Cooperative since January 2019, Robert oversees the development of Fiber and Wireless networks across a vast area. Prior roles include Fiber Coordinator at Gvec.Net and Principal at robertrussellonline, where Robert specialized in Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) solutions. Notable previous positions include Director of Sales Operations at Grande Communications, Director of Engineering at Knology, and long-standing involvement as Chairman of the IEEE 802.14 Cable Modem Standards Committee. Robert holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics Engineering Technology, Telecom, from Texas A&M University.
