Haiyang Zhang

Haiyang Zhang is a Senior Data Scientist at Vivid Genomics, Inc., with experience dating back to December 2020. Previously, a Graduate Student Researcher at the University of Southern California from August 2014 to December 2020, contributions included developing a ChIP-seq data normalization method and optimizing library-prep procedures. In addition, service as a Graduate Teaching Assistant encompassed courses in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, and Advanced Biochemistry. A Health Data Science Fellow at Insight Data Science from May 2020 to September 2020, Zhang created a prediagnostic web application on AWS to assess cholesterol risk based on dietary behaviors. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Molecular Biology from the University of Southern California and a BS in Biotechnology from Suzhou University of Science and Technology.
