Jeffrey Werbin

Jeffrey Werbin is an accomplished bioinformatics professional with extensive experience in the biotech industry. Currently serving as the Manager of Bioinformatics Follow On CDx at Guardant Health since February 2021, Jeffrey leads a team focused on developing software tools for analytical validation within the company’s CDx program. Prior to this role, Jeffrey was a Senior Bioinformatics Scientist, contributing to multiple software development projects and participating in four CDx sPMA approvals. Additionally, Jeffrey co-organizes the Seattle Biotech and Bagels networking group, connecting over 700 members in the biotech and digital health sectors. Previous experience includes roles at RareCyte, Inc. as the Computational Analysis Lead and Image Processing Scientist, where innovative image processing software was developed to identify rare cells. Jeffrey's early career includes postdoctoral research at Harvard Medical School, focusing on super resolution microscopy, and a PhD in Biophysics from Johns Hopkins University.
