Ruth B. McCole

Ruth B. McCole is an accomplished bioinformatician with extensive experience in the field of genomics and bioinformatics. Currently serving as Associate Director of Bioinformatics at Guardant Health since July 2019, Ruth has directed significant projects including custom bioinformatic analyses on NGS data for cancer screening tests and has successfully managed team dynamics between wet-bench and bioinformatics teams. Prior experience includes a postdoctoral position at Harvard Medical School focused on ultraconserved elements in the human genome, and a research assistant role at the University of Cambridge. Ruth holds a Bachelor's degree in Biological Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge, a PhD in Genomic Imprinting from King's College London, and a certificate in Data Science from the University of Washington.
