Rocky Makooi has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Rocky started their career as a Technical Recruiter at TRS Staffing Solutions in 1997, where they recruited IT and engineering professionals for permanent positions. Rocky then moved on to work at Hoffman Recruiters, where they served as a Senior Technical Recruiter and Team Lead, specializing in recruiting hardware and software engineers, as well as IT professionals.

Rocky also played a significant role in the acquisition of Metratech Corp. by Ericsson.

From 2015 to 2023, Rocky worked at iRobot as the Principal Talent Acquisition, overseeing all R&D Hardware openings and recruiting for various engineering positions.

Currently, Rocky is the Head of Talent Acquisition at Guardian Agriculture, a leading developer of Electric Vertical Take-Off and Landing (eVTOL) systems for sustainable farming. The company recently received approval from the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to operate its aircraft nationwide.
