Syra McCarthy

Syra McCarthy has a long and varied work history. Syra began their career in 2004 as a Soccer Coach for Kidz Love Soccer. In 2005, they took on multiple roles at Guerilla Wanderers Films, including Marketing and Sales, Associate Producer, and Production Assistant. In 2010, they worked as a Server, Bartender, and Cocktail Waitress at Ravesi's Hotel Bondi Beach. In 2011, they joined Reach Out Volunteers as a Videographer and Group Leader. Here, they documented the day to day activities of volunteers, interviewed volunteers and local villagers, and created program recruitment videos. Finally, in 2017, they became a Director and Producer (Contractor) for Google.

Syra McCarthy attended the University of Technology Sydney from 2010 to 2011, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts in Cinema & Communications. Syra also attended San Francisco State University from 2008 to 2011, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts in Film & Communications.
