Adam Dalva

Senior Fiction Editor at Guernica Magazine

Adam Dalva is a seasoned editor, educator, and writer with extensive experience in the literary field. Since 2018, Adam has served as the Senior Fiction Editor and Book Critic for Guernica Magazine and has been the Books Editor for Words Without Borders since August 2021. Adam holds a board member position at the National Book Critics Circle and has been a part-time lecturer at Rutgers University since 2017, teaching various creative writing courses. Additionally, Adam has contributed as an adjunct professor at Marymount Manhattan College and previously served as a critic for Publishers Weekly and a writer for Dark Horse Comics, where Adam co-created and wrote "Olivia Twist." With a background in art research and education from Dalva Brothers and a commitment to supporting young writers through tutoring and workshops, Adam's academic qualifications include an MFA in Creative Writing from New York University and a Bachelor's degree in English Literature from Swarthmore College.
