Robert S. Khuzami

Robert S. Khuzami is the managing partner at Guggenheim Partners. Prior to this, they were a partner at Kirkland & Ellis LLP from July 2013 to December 2017. Before that, they were the director of the Division of Enforcement at the US Securities and Exchange Commission from March 2009 to February 2013.

Khuzami began their career as a law clerk to Hon. John R. Gibson at the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit from August 1983 to August 1984. Robert then worked as an associate at Cadwalader Wickersham & Taft from September 1984 to August 1990 before joining the U.S. Attorney’s Office Southern District of New York as an assistant United States attorney in September 1990. Robert served in that role until January 2002 when they transitioned to Deutsche Bank as their general counsel for Americas where they worked until February 2009.

Robert S. Khuzami received their BA in Political Science and Philosophy from the University of Rochester and their JD from Boston University School of Law. Robert also attended SUNY Geneseo.

They work with Thomas J. Irvin - Managing Partner, Peter O. Lawson-Johnston II - Managing Partner, and Andrew M. Rosenfield - Managing Partner. Robert S. Khuzami reports to Mark R. Walter, Chief Executive Officer.
