David Locklin

Chief Program Officer at Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind

David Locklin has a strong background in the field of service animals and guide dogs. David is currently serving as the Chief Program Officer at both America's VetDogs and the Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind since April 2023. Prior to that, they held the same position at Leader Dogs for the Blind from January 2022 to April 2023. David also served as the Director of Programs at Leader Dogs for the Blind from December 2015 to January 2022. Before that, they worked as the Canine Training Class Coordinator at Leader Dogs for the Blind from July 2014 to December 2015. David began their career in the field at the Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind, where they served as the Acting Operations Manager from January 2014 to July 2014. David also worked at The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association as a Service Deliver Manager from December 2011 to January 2014, a Senior Guide Dog Trainer from January 2011 to December 2011, and a Guide Dog Mobility Instructor from September 2000 to January 2011.

David Locklin attended the University of Southampton from 2004 to 2007, where they pursued a degree in Canine assistance studies with a specialization in guide dog mobility.
