Taylor Burmer is a dedicated marine science instructor with extensive experience in environmental education and youth mentoring. Currently employed at Guided Discoveries since August 2016, Taylor previously worked as a camp counselor at Catalina Sea Camp, where responsibilities included teaching children problem-solving and collaboration skills in outdoor settings. Taylor's academic background includes a Master of Arts in Education with a focus on Urban Environmental Education from Antioch University Seattle and a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Education and Communication from Seattle University. Additional experience includes roles as a research assistant at Seattle University, where content was developed for an exhibit at the Wing Luke Museum, and as a program assistant for the Jumpstart program, overseeing early literacy initiatives in preschool classrooms. Prior internships included creating environmental education activities at IslandWood’s Brightwater Center and promoting early literacy as a corps member with Americorps' Jumpstart program.
