Frederik van Acker

Frederik Van Acker currently serves as a Policy Advisor for Strategic Research Programmes at Research Foundation Flanders - FWO, a position held since April 2016. Prior to this role, Frederik was the Programme Director for the Bachelor of Science in Socio-educational Care Work at AP Artesis Plantijn Hogeschool Antwerpen from September 2013 to March 2016. Frederik also worked as an Associate Professor at Open Universiteit Nederland from October 2008 to September 2013, where responsibilities included leading the Research Methods and Statistics department and conducting research on ICT use in education. Earlier in the academic career, Frederik held the role of Research Assistant at Vrije Universiteit Brussel from September 2004 to September 2008. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Psychology and an MSc in Work & Organizational Psychology, both from Vrije Universiteit Brussel.
