Chelsea Catania

Chelsea Catania is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in scientific research and technical analysis within the biotechnology and materials science fields. Currently serving as a Senior Technical Analyst at Guidehouse since December 2025, Chelsea previously worked as a Microbiology Consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton and a Research Scientist at Ivu Biologics. Chelsea’s expertise encompasses drug product development, lyophilization, formulation, and characterization, significantly contributing to multiple client pipelines of microbiome therapeutic products. Chelsea earned a PhD in Materials Science from UC Santa Barbara and a B.S. in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Florida, complemented by substantial research work, including a postdoctoral fellowship at MIT where a funded innovation grant led to several publications and a patent. Chelsea's work has been characterized by leadership in collaborative research initiatives and mentorship roles in various capacities throughout a progressive academic and professional career.
