Sophie Gibson

Corporate Client Services - Research Account Manager at Guidepoint

Sophie Gibson has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Sophie began their career as a Customer Service and Sales Associate at Crown Awards in 2019. Sophie then transitioned to a General Counselor role at URJ Crane Lake Camp, where they provided emotional support for teenage girls during the summer months.

In 2020, Sophie took on the position of Social Media and Marketing Director at The University of Michigan Union. Sophie was responsible for managing the organization's social media presence and marketing efforts.

During their time at University of Michigan Hillel from 2019 to 2022, Sophie worked as a Fundraising Associate, where they played a key role in raising funds for the organization.

Sophie also had experience in the non-profit sector, specifically with the Prison Creative Arts Project. Sophie held multiple roles within the organization, including Workshop Facilitator, where they collaboratively created creative arts workshops for formerly incarcerated individuals, and Social Media Director, where they managed social media platforms and raised awareness of reentry issues.

In 2021, Sophie had the opportunity to serve as a City of Detroit Mayoral Fellow in the Human Resources department. In this role, they developed Employee Resource Groups and created important resources to foster an inclusive workplace.

Most recently, Sophie joined Guidepoint in 2022 as a Client Services Associate. Sophie quickly advanced to the position of Research Manager in 2023, where they currently manage and oversees research projects.

Additionally, Sophie dedicated their time to philanthropic efforts as a Social Media and Youth Engagement Coordinator at Loyalty Foundation. Sophie focused on raising awareness and increasing donations for the organization's Devices4All initiative.

Throughout their career, Sophie has consistently demonstrated their ability to adapt to different roles, contribute to team efforts, and leverage their skills in marketing, fundraising, social media, and workshop facilitation.

Sophie Gibson completed their high school education at Rye Neck Senior High School, receiving a High School Diploma in the years 2014 to 2018. Following this, they pursued higher education at the University of Michigan from 2018 to 2022, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a focus on Organizational Studies.
