Katie Lee

Katie Lee has a diverse work experience in various educational and theatrical roles. Katie is currently working as an Assistant Head of School at Guidepost Montessori since March 2022. Prior to that, Katie had their own business as a Teaching Artist at Kansas City Children's Theatre starting in February 2017. Katie also worked as a Teaching Artist at Coterie Theatre, Heart of America Shakespeare Festival, and The Coterie. In addition, Katie had teaching roles at North Kansas City Schools as a Teacher from June 2018 to April 2022 and as an ELL Paraprofessional from December 2017 to June 2018. Katie also served as a Theatre Graduate Assistant at the University of Central Missouri from August 2013 to May 2014 and as an English Language Arts Teacher at Polo R-VII School District from July 2011 to May 2013. Katie's early work experience includes being a Summer Enrichment Instructor at Upward Bound, NWMSU in June to July 2010.

Katie Lee has a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Theatre/Theater, which they obtained from the University of Central Missouri in 2013-2014. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) degree in Speech/Theatre and English at Northwest Missouri State University from 2006 to 2010. Additionally, they also earned a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) degree in Speech Teacher Education from the same institution during the same time period. Katie has additional certifications in Early Childhood Education (Birth-3rd), English (9-12), and Speech/Theatre (9-12). The institutions from which they obtained these certifications include the MA Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
