Selena Hartley

Selena Hartley has a diverse background in early childhood education. Selena currently works as the Head of School at Guidepost Montessori, a position they have held since July 2021. Before that, they were the Assistant Head of School at the same institution from October 2020 to July 2021.

Prior to working at Guidepost Montessori, Selena served as the Curriculum Coordinator and English Teacher at Blooming Buds Preschool from July 2018 to June 2020. Selena was responsible for designing and implementing the curriculum and teaching English to the students.

From October 2015 to July 2018, Selena worked as a Site Supervisor at Lakeside Presbyterian Center for Children. Selena supervised the daily operations of the facility and ensured a safe and nurturing environment for the children.

Before that, Selena was a Preschool Teacher at South of Market Child Care, Inc from June 2014 to October 2015. Selena provided care and education to preschool-aged children.

Selena Hartley completed their Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree at Edmonds College from 2010 to 2012. Selena then pursued a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Child and Adolescent Development at San Francisco State University, graduating in 2014. In 2017, they enrolled in the University of San Diego, where they obtained a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership and Administration between 2017 and 2019. Selena Hartley also extended their education by completing a Certification Course for Kindergarten Principals at Hong Kong Baptist University from 2020 to 2021. Additionally, they are currently pursuing an Administrator's Certificate Course at the Association Montessori Internationale, specializing in Educational Leadership and Administration, General, starting in 2023.
