Aki Makijima

Aki Makijima is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in records management and business operations. Currently serving as the Senior Records Manager at Guinness World Records since November 2018, Aki oversees the Japan region's Records Management team and supervises all operations related to records challenged in Japan. Previously, at Hamamatsu from August 2014 to October 2016, Aki held the role of Business Associate, where responsibilities included sales analysis, digital marketing team leadership, and the development of a new sales promotion database. Earlier experience includes working as a Project Manager Assistant at the University of Tsukuba from January 2011 to March 2014, supporting innovative research initiatives. Aki holds an MBA from IE Business School, a Master of Arts in Piano from the Royal Academy of Music, and a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Lewis & Clark College.
