Lisa McCormick

Lisa McCormick is a seasoned music educator and performing songwriter with extensive experience spanning several decades. As the founder of Getting Started With Guitar since 2009, Lisa has created a platform that provides guitar lessons, information, and inspiration for learners. In addition to this role, Lisa has served as a curriculum developer and guitar instructor for Guitar Tricks since 2006, where a comprehensive beginners curriculum, 'Guitar Fundamentals,' has been designed. The Lisa McCormick Studio, established in 1985, focuses on personalized instruction and mentoring in various musical disciplines, including guitar and songwriting. As a performing songwriter and recording artist, Lisa has released four CDs of original music and boasts an extensive touring history. Earlier professional experience includes freelance writing for Lisa McCormick Music, LLC, from 2000 to 2009.
