Gulf Air Group Holding Company was founded in 2010 to consolidate all the aviation assets of Mumtalakat, the sovereign wealth fund of the Kingdom of Bahrain. The company aims to improve coordination amongst these various entities to enhance the contribution of the aviation sector to Bahrain’s economy and maximize stakeholder value. The group is a shareholder of Bahrain Airport Company, Gulf Air, Gulf Aviation Academy and other assets.
