Simon Gilbert

Mr. Simon Gilbert is Head of Legal and Compliance at Gulf Capital. Mr. Gilbert has over 19 years of legal experience and has worked on a variety of complex, cross-border and large scale corporate, finance, commercial and real estate transactions. Mr Gilbert’s responsibilities include managing the legal and compliance affairs of Gulf Capital, drafting and negotiating M&A, real estate and joint venture agreements; recommending and implementing equity and debt structures; establishing, launching and managing international funds.

Prior to joining Gulf Capital, Mr. Gilbert was a senior lawyer in the London office of UK magic circle law firm, Clifford Chance. At Clifford Chance, Mr. Gilbert worked on a broad range of complex and high value commercial, joint venture, real estate and finance transactions for developers, funds, banks and other international institutions and investors. Mr. Gilbert, who has been admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales since 2003, is licensed to practice as a solicitor by the Solicitors Regulation Authority. Mr. Gilbert graduated with a LLB (hons) law degree from Manchester Metropolitan University and a distinction in the Legal Practice Course from the University of Northumbria.
